CLOSE No. 3 Arizona State wrestling suffered its first dual meet loss Monday night, falling 17-16 at No. 7 Ohio State. Ohio State (4-1) went ahead 11-3 after the first four matches then held on for the narrow victory in a nationally televised meet. Kollin Moore edged ASU’s Kordell Norfleet 11-9 at 197 pounds, giving the Buckeyes a four-point lead going into heavyweight. ASU’s Tanner Hall won 4-2 at heavyweight but not by a large enough margin for a team tie or win. <=”” div=””> Other ASU winners were Brandon Courtney (125), Jacori Teemer (157), Josh Shields (165) and two-time NCAA champion Zahid Valencia (184). Valencia won by major decision (19-5), one point short of a technical fall. Ohio State’s Luke Pletcher won by tech fall at 141 for five points compared to Valencia earning four.
