COLUMBUS, Ohio — With one member of Ohio State football’s highly ranked defense already choosing to forgo his senior season and another expected to follow, the Buckeyes’ 2020 lineup needed some stablity. Baron Browning provided some on Thursday afternoon, declaring via Twitter that he planned to return for his senior season. Browning shared the Mike linebacker spot with captain Tuf Borland this past season, collecting 43 tackles (10 for loss), five sacks, two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup in 12 games. “I cannot wait to get back to work and grind with my brothers, every day, until we reach our goal,” Browning wrote. His return means Ohio State can take three of its top four linebackers into the 2020 season. Malik Harrison completed his senior season, but Borland and fellow junior Pete Werner both return.
