Ohio State football’s Drue Chrisman returns for 2020 as one of nation’s most reliable punters


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football eagerly awaits the NFL Draft decisions of Heisman Trophy finalists, All-Americans and national award nominees. By comparison, punter Drue Chrisman’s announcement Thursday may not make the same national headlines. Nonetheless, it ensures Ohio State goes into 2020 — a year in which it must rebuild at least half of its starting defense — with an overshadowed contributor to that unit’s success. “After thoughtful prayer and consideration about declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft, I’ll keep it short and sweet for you,” Chrisman wrote in a Twitter post. “Buckeye Nation, I’m not going anywhere!
