COLUMBUS, Ohio — LSU quarterback Joe Burrow has credited the time spent with Ohio State football for laying the foundation for his eventual Heisman Trophy winning career. Burrow was asked Thursday about Corey Dennis’ role in helping his development. Dennis is expected to be promoted from quality control coach to fill the quarterback coach position vacated by Mike Yurcich. “I think Corey is going to be a really good coach for a long time,” Burrow said in a teleconference previewing next week’s College Football Playoff national championship game, in which LSU will face Clemson. “I texted him as soon as I saw the news and was fired up for him.
