Ohio State football’s passing coordinator Mike Yurcich hired as Texas’ next offensive coordinator


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Ohio State football team has lost its second assistant coach from Ryan Day’s inaugural staff. Passing game coordinator Mike Yurcich will return to the Big 12 as Texas has hired him as its next offensive coordinator. He spent the previous six years prior to Ohio State in the Big 12 as the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State. Fields threw for 3,273 yards and 41 touchdown passes while completing 238 of his 354 passes in his first season. He added another 484 yards and 10 touchdowns on 137 carries. Day will now spend this offseason trying to find replacements for both Yurcich and co-defensive coordinator…
