GLENDALE, Ariz. – Clemson coach Dabo Swinney would not let Nolan Turner sulk. Turner, a backup safety, was beaten on a touchdown pass that gave Ohio State the lead with 11:46 remaining in the College Football Playoff Fiesta Bowl semifinal Saturday night. His coach implored him to forget about the miscue and move on to the next play. Swinney thought he was simply being encouraging. He was actually being a soothsayer. “Don’t be pouting,” Swinney told him. “You’re going to make the interception to win this thing.” Clemson reclaimed the lead with a 94-yard touchdown drive.
