How Clemson’s ‘Paw Drill’ is preparing them to face Ohio State football’s J.K. Dobbins


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Ohio State football’s J.K. Dobbins is averaging 140.69 rushing yards per game, which sits first among players in the College Football Playoff and fourth in the country. He ran for 1,829 yards this season and is closing in on the Buckeyes’ single-season record of 1,927 yards set by Eddie George during his Heisman Trophy season in 1995. He has been one of the best running backs in the country despite sitting out the second half of multiple games this season. Because of that, he averaged only 18.3 carries in the first 10 games. But a rise in the level of competition to close out the season saw Dobbins get an uptick in carries in which he took full advantage of.
