Why Damon Arnette could lead Ohio State’s football team in tackles for a 3rd time this season in the Big Ten Championship


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football senior cornerback Damon Arnette has a high pain tolerance. It’s the only reason he’s been able to spend the season playing with a broken right wrist he suffered thanks to running back J.K. Dobbins. In the first week of preseason camp, he went to try and punch a ball out of Dobbins’ possession, and his wrist ended up paying the price. “I finished that practice, though, by the way,” Arnette said. Since then, he’s played with a cast on his wrist to ease the blows he takes in games. Even with the added protection, he admits that sometimes he can still feel the pain when making tackles. The level of pain depends on how he lands on it afterward.
