The recent speculation about James Franklin and USC, or Florida State, was simply that. Penn State was determined to keep its sixth-year head coach happy and now has ponied up to do so. Franklin hinted strongly following the Nittany Lions’ 27-6 win over Rutgers last Saturday at Beaver Stadium that he wasn’t going anywhere. And Penn State and Franklin extended their relationship to 2025 with an announcement on Friday. The details have yet to be released.
