COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State football’s Garrett Wilson can feel how close he is to a long-awaited breakthrough. The freshman took his most prominent role in the offense so far in last Saturday’s 56-27 victory at Michigan. His receptions of 41 and 47 yards in the second quarter set up J.K. Dobbins rushing touchdowns. In the third quarter, Wilson etched a place in The Game lore by catching Justin Fields’ 30-yard touchdown pass in the quarterback’s return from a brief mid-drive injury absence. Wilson also left the game aware of the work that must continue. For the second time in three weeks, he muffed a punt which an opponent recovered and converted into points.
