Ohio State football announces a large list of champions from win over Michigan


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football announced its full list of champions from its 56-27 win over Penn State on Saturday and the list includes practically everyone. While J.K. Dobbins, Justin Fields, Davon Hamilton and Jeffrey Okudah earned Player of the Game honors, anyone else who saw action in the win graded out as a champion as well. The Buckeyes allowed a season-high 305 passing yards against the Wolverines, but 250 of that came in the first half. Quarterback Shea Patterson completed just 4 of his 24 pass attempts in the second half. On offense, the Buckeyes scored 14 points in each quarter totaling 577 yards and converting on all five red zone attempts. Grading out almost an entire roster as champions in a college football game can seem like a drastic move, but given the circumstances, it’s warranted.
