COLUMBUS, Ohio – Before Ohio State football played Penn State and Michigan back-to-back, coach Ryan Day was asked repeatedly about the burden of playing the Buckeyes’ two toughest games to conclude the regular season. Having emerged with two victories, Day now sees a benefit to that late-season double shot. Rather than experiencing an emotional drop-off from those wins, Ohio State can ride the momentum into Saturday’s Big Ten championship game against Wisconsin and potentially beyond. “We’re getting into the rhythm of playing four-quarter games against really good opponents — that March Madness approach,” Day said on a Sunday teleconference previewing the Big Ten championship game. “Every game is a hard-fought war, a dogfight.” Ohio State defeated the Badgers 38-7 on Oct. 26 at Ohio Stadium.
