College football focus: Ohio State's Fields keeps making his Heisman case

Playing with a sprained knee in Saturday’s rout at archival Michigan on Saturday, Ohio State sophomore Justin Fields might have thrust himself into Heisman Trophy consideration. In a 56-27 win that stretched the Buckeyes’ dominance of “The Game” to eight straight wins, Fields completed 14 of 25 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns. He had agreed to wear a small knee brace in the contest. Then following a play midway through the third quarter, Fields clutched his his left knee and limped to the medical tent.
