Grading quarterback Justin Fields’ performance in Ohio State football’s road win over Michigan


ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Justin Fields did not have the best performance in his first time in the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry. Although he completed a 51-yard touchdown pass to Chris Olave and a 47-yarder to Garrett Wilson to set up J.K. Dobbins’ third touchdown, he wasn’t as efficient as he’s been for most of the season. Fields didn’t look comfortable in the pocket at times and his 200 yards on 8-of-16 passing doesn’t show a true indication of how he played in the first half. Despite leaving the game in the second half with an injury, Fields returned to throw two more touchdowns. He even showed that even while working with a less than 100 percent left knee, he was still able to make plays outside the pocket. He finished with 302 yards and four touchdowns on 16-of-25 passing.
