How Ohio State football’s Jordan Fuller erases potential big-play mistakes for the Buckeyes


COLUMBUS, Ohio — This looked like a play that could pop, Penn State running Journey Brown busting through the line in the third quarter last week. A year ago, it was the kind of play that would have. This year, senior safety Jordan Fuller was there. On second-and-4, Brown gained 13 yards and a first down, a nice chunk for the Nittany Lions. He didn’t gain 50. “Great play,” Ohio State secondary coach and co-defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley said after the game, knowing immediately which third-quarter play I was referencing. “Jordan’s the eraser.” Told Hafley had described him that way, Fuller said, “That’s pretty high praise and I appreciate him saying that.
