COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football 2020 commit Cameron Martinez of Muskegon High School has again been named MLive.com’s Michigan High School Football Player of the Year. He is the first player to take home the award in back-to-back seasons in its seven-year history. He took home 54 of 67 total votes as this is the third-straight year that a Muskegon player has taken home the award. Martinez serves as Muskegon’s quarterback and has passed for 1,258 yards and 11 touchdowns while also running for 2,016 yards and 35 touchdowns. He is rated as the No. 374 overall player and the No. 16 athlete in the country. The three-star recruit could play a multitude of positions for the Buckeyes when he arrives in January depending on the team’s need and best fit.
