Grading quarterback Justin Fields’ performance in Ohio State football’s home win over Penn State


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Justin Fields is still undefeated as a starting quarterback following Ohio State football’s 28-17 win over Penn State. The first-year starter finished the game with 188 yards and two touchdowns of 16-of-22 passing while adding another 68 yards on 21 carries. He still has only thrown one interception, but he did fumble the ball three times in the win. Two were recovered by the Nittany Lions and another that had 104,355 people worrying as he laid on the ground after falling on the football. Head coach Ryan Day would later say that Fields was “good” after the fall. This was the first time the Buckeyes played with Fields as its quarterback for all four quarters. Though they pulled out the win, Penn State was able to fight its way back with 17 consecutive points because of mistakes from Ohio State’s two best offensive players. Watch the video…
