College football rankings: Ohio State holds at No. 2 behind LSU in Associated Press Top 25


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State football continues its reign as the consensus No. 2 team in college football. Associated Press Top 25 voters kept the Buckeyes in the runner-up spot behind No. 1 LSU this week. Clemson stayed at No. 3 — the same order in which those teams sit in the College Football Playoff rankings. Ohio State won its second straight game by blowout, 56-21 at Rutgers (a game it led 42-7 before pulling its starters in the third quarter). The Buckeyes now have a chance to improve their ranking by closing the regular season head-to-head against ranked teams: No. 9 Penn State at home on Saturday and at o. 12 Michigan the following week.
