Rutgers is still waiting on Greg Schiano’s anticipated return as it takes on Ohio State, but the Wyckoff native could be the new head football coach when the Scarlet Knights next take the field. The university is aiming to finalize Schiano’s return by the middle of next week, several individuals with knowledge of the process told NJ Advance Media. They were granted anonymity to discuss the sensitive nature of the coaching search. Schiano won’t be back in the big chair in time for Saturday’s expected blowout home loss to the No. 2-ranked Buckeyes as a historic underdog.
