STATE COLLEGE — When Penn State started its 2019 journey with summer camp in August, most outside observers were projecting that the Lions would be 8-4. Some thought 9-3 was possible, and there were only a few that saw 10-2 or 7-5 as realistic. Fast forward to mid-November, and the positive pickers are being rewarded, as the Lions are 9-1 following Saturday’s 34-27 victory over Indiana at Beaver Stadium. It means that, as many expected since late October, PSU’s trip to Columbus next Saturday will decide the Big Ten East, as the Lions will battle Ohio State for the right to represent their side of the conference in Indianapolis.
