Ohio State football drops to No. 2 behind LSU in College Football Playoff rankings


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State football’s stay at the No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings lasted all of one week. LSU, the No. 2 team in the first rankings, moved up to No. 1 on the strength of its 46-41 victory at former No. 3 Alabama. The Buckeyes dropped to No. 2, becoming the first team in the six-year history of the CFP to fall from the No. 1 ranking without losing. Both teams are 9-0. Clemson (10-1) was No. 3, followed by Georgia (8-1) at No. 4.
