Does the College Football Playoff committee consider Chase Young’s absence along with Ohio State’s resume?


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two of the top four teams in the College Football Playoff’s original top four went into last weekend with missing or compromised stars. Ohio State football played without star defensive end Chase Young while the program and the NCAA sort out his potential eligibility issue over a loan. The Buckeyes did not miss him — physically, that is — in a 73-14 victory over Maryland. Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returned to play against LSU three weeks after surgery for a high ankle sprain. He played well but did not perform at 100 percent health in a 46-41 loss to LSU.
