Report: Ohio State expects 4-game suspension for star Chase Young


Some help from a family friend could cost Ohio State’s Chase Young the rest of the regular season. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit said this morning that the Buckeyes are expecting a four-game suspension for their defensive star, stemming from a personal loan Young used to fly his girlfriend to last year’s Rose Bowl. News broke Thursday that Young would miss today’s game against Maryland as the school works with the NCAA to determine his eligibility. Ohio State faces Rutgers next week, but closes the month with Penn State and Michigan. If the ban remains four games, Young potentially could be back for the Big Ten championship game and College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes were No. 1 in this week’s rankings. Young, who has since repaid that loan, leads all of FBS with 13.5 sacks, and had even jumped into the Heisman Trophy conversation. There’s talk of him being the No. 1…
