COLUMBUS, Ohio — Chase Young practiced with Ohio State football last week, and according to coach Ryan Day will continue to do so as the program navigates his suddenly uncertain NCAA eligibility status. The Buckeyes coach offered no other new information on the plight of his star defensive end. He sat out Saturday’s 73-14 victory over Maryland while Ohio State learns how many games he will miss for taking out a loan which drew NCAA scrutiny. Ohio State does not know how many games Young will ultimately miss. A team spokesman called a report the athletic department expects him to miss four games “incorrect.” Day declined to speculate when asked if he was confident Young will return this season.
