Ohio State Buckeyes' Chase Young expected to serve four-game suspension, per reports

It appears Chase Young’s quest to become the first defensive player in two decades to win the Heisman Trophy is over.  The Ohio State Buckeyes expect their star defensive end to be suspended for the final four games of the regular season beginning Saturday against Maryland, according to The Athletic — which first reported the details of the suspension — and ESPN.  On Friday, Ohio State announced Young would sit out Saturday against Maryland “due to an NCAA violation.” Young wrote on Twitter that the infraction pertained to a loan he accepted and paid back to a family friend.  The Athletic reported late Friday that Young borrowed money from a family friend, who is not tied to the Buckeyes program, so he could fly his girlfriend to California for the 2018 Rose Bowl.
