COLUMBUS, Ohio — No. 2 LSU’s win over No. 3 Alabama, and No. 4 Penn State’s loss to No. 17 Minnesota, made major impacts on these bowl projections, as just three weeks remain in the regular season before conference championship weekend. The second playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday night, and among the questions is whether Ohio State will stay No. 1 or be jumped by LSU after its big win. Minnesota will rise, but how far? And how far Alabama falls after a 46-41 loss to the Tigers will give us a look into the playoff committee’s thinking, and provide some idea of the chance the Tide has to still make the playoff.
