COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball coach Chris Holtmann has confirmed that his lone senior Andre Wesson will miss Sunday’s game against UMass Lowell with an eye injury. Holtmann did not have specifics on what the injury is or what his timetable to return is, but admitted that Wesson’s presence will be missed most on the defensive end. “We don’t have another guy in our program that’s like Andre,” Holtmann said. “Andre connects our defense as well as anybody I’ve coached.” Wesson scored seven points in the Buckeyes’ season-opening 64-56 win over Cincinnati on Wednesday. His biggest impact came in holding preseason American Athletic Conference Player of the Year Jarron Cumberland to just 13 points, including shooting 4-of-13 from the field.
