The first batch of College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday evening and the Ohio State Buckeyes come in at No. 1, ahead of the No. 2 LSU Tigers, No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide and No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions. That gives the Big Ten and SEC two teams apiece in the first rankings, which will see some movement with No. 2 LSU and No. 3 Alabama squaring off on Saturday (12:30 p.m. PT on CBS).
