COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has had one of the best offenses in the country this year from a statistical standpoint. The Buckeyes rank third in points per game (48.3), fourth in rushing yards (284.25) and sixth in total offense (514.8). The reason its passing attack has taken a dip from last season has less to do with how efficient it’s been and more because of the offensive approach and personnel. Yet still, their quarterback Justin Fields and running back J.K. Dobbins have cases for why they are Heisman Trophy candidates. They’ve dominated on teams this season and have taken advantage of the often good field position left for them by the defense.
