COLUMBUS, Ohio – Saturday’s game between LSU and Alabama in Tuscaloosa will officially be a 1 vs. 2 matchup. LSU remained No. 1 in the Associated Press poll released Sunday, and Alabama remained No. 2. Ohio State held steady at No. 3 for the second consecutive week. The Tigers go into the matchup with a seven-point cushion over Alabama for first, and 12 points ahead of the Buckeyes. Last week, only eight points separate the top three teams, with LSU two points ahead of Alabama, which was six points ahead of Ohio State. Penn State remained No. 5 ahead of Saturday’s game at No. 13 Minnesota. Other Big Ten Conference teams in the rankings include No. 14 Michigan, No. 16 Wisconsin and No. 18 Iowa.
