CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ohio State thus far hasn’t had a marquee win against a top 10 team, but a close look at the schedules of this year’s college football playoff contenders shows that the Buckeyes’ schedule actually is fairly strong. Only Ohio State, Penn State and LSU have two wins each against teams that are in the current top 25. The combined record of OSU opponents to date is the best among the contenders, ranking eighth nationally among all schools, according to the latest NCAA Toughest Schedule Report. OSU is the only school among the contenders not to schedule an FCS school this year. FCS is the lower division with more scholarship limits formerly known as as Division I-AA.
