How is Ryan Day keeping the Ohio State football team humble despite 8-0 record?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State has to be feeling good about itself heading into its second bye week. The Buckeyes are 8-0, have arguably the best defense in the country and are coming off a coming-out party of sorts in a 38-7 win over Wisconsin. Head coach Ryan Day can sense just how good his team is feeling and wants to make sure that good feeling doesn’t turn into satisfaction and contentment. It’s why when he gets asked about his quarterback, running back and defensive end all being legitimate Heisman candidates seven different times during a 20-minute press conference he follows it up by making sure that it’s understood that nothing has been accomplished. “If they’re reading the hype, if they’re reading all that stuff, then they’re more foolish than I thought they would be,” Day said.
