It certainly isn’t a compliment, but Ohio State isn’t necessarily trolling Alabama. We don’t think. Either way, it begs the question: Is it better to be recognized in infamy or not to be recognized at all? As it turns out, Ohio State coach Ryan Day has named a Buckeye play in honor of one of the most infamous plays in Crimson Tide history. Day revealed during his weekly radio show that every Thursday his No. 3 Buckeyes (7-0), who play No. 13 Wisconsin (6-1) on Saturday, practice a “Kick 6,” which he calls “Bama.” In 2013, No. 1 Alabama attempted a game-winning 57-yard field goal, which fell short. Chris Davis returned the last-second kick 109 yards for No. 4 Auburn’s dramatic win. There are going to be those that believe Day is trolling.
