COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State football’s home game Saturday against Wisconsin won’t have the same spotlight following the Badgers’ upset loss at Illinois. The Buckeyes’ primary concern, however, does not change. Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor has rushed for more than 5,000 yards in three years of storming through Big Ten Conference defenses. A popular first-team selection on midseason All-American lists, the 5-11, 219-pound junior shares the national lead in rushing touchdowns with 15 and has expanded his game to include a bigger presence as a receiver. Yet as history has shown, one prolific Badgers back alone does not defeat Ohio State. If the Buckeyes’ six-game winning streak in the series ends Saturday, it will mean Wisconsin’s defense answered its biggest test of the season and Taylor and the offense consistently cracked through an OSU unit that has at times seemed impenetrable.
