Big Ten power rankings: Michigan State no match for Ohio State, either


It isn’t as much an indictment of Michigan State’s defense as it is a reality check. Ohio State might be just that good, especially on the ground. Mark Dantonio’s Columbus magic didn’t last long, as the Buckeyes put up nearly 300 yards in the second quarter and basically put the game out of reach. Michigan State knew it had to play the perfect game, and just couldn’t match up. Meanwhile, Michigan found its defensive identity again, but still hasn’t located a consistent offensive attack.
