COLUMBUS, Ohio — J.K. Dobbins spent all offseason saying that he would have a better third season as Ohio State football’s main running back. Outside of a less-than-stellar outing against Florida Atlantic, he’s been everything the Buckeyes have needed from their workhorse. Through six games, he’s at 826 yards and six touchdowns on 116 carries. Those numbers put him at 7.12 yards per carry, which sits at seventh in the Big Ten. His 137.6 yards per game trails only Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor’s 149 yards per game. He’s in a two-person race for the Big Ten’s best running back, and yet still, he isn’t ready to say he’s completely pleased with his play.
