AP Top 25 poll ballot: Ohio State moves to No. 1, why Alabama is at No. 5, chaos at the bottom


The nation’s top six teams are pretty clear at this moment. Four of them have something the other two do not, and that should mean something when it comes to The Associated Press Top 25. Chances are Alabama will remain the nation’s No. 1-ranked team when the new poll is released later today. But the Crimson Tide are still ranked fifth on my ballot. Why? Because who has Alabama beat? Its best win is either Duke or Ole Miss, and the Tide gave up 31 points and 279 rushing yards in the latter victory.
