Ohio State's big-play KO of Michigan State a warning shot to rest of Big Ten

COLUMBUS, Ohio — No. 25 Michigan State brought a top-10 defense to Ohio Stadium, and for one quarter kept No. 4 Ohio State in a 20-yard phone-booth. Once the Buckeyes shattered the glass, however, it was clear once again who the Big Ten’s super-team is at the midpoint of the season. Ohio State (6-0) ripped off 296 yards as part of a 24-point second quarter that led to a 34-10 victory Saturday. The Buckeyes get a bye week after an undefeated first half of the season under first-year coach Ryan Day. This reinforced again that Ohio State can compete with Alabama and Clemson for the top team in college football, and that the rest of the Big Ten might not be able to catch up with this program for the foreseeable future.
