If you came in expecting a high-scoring game, you’re in the wrong place. No. 4 Ohio State leads No. 25 Michigan State 3-0 following the first quarter, and even those three points are a bit misleading. After being forced into a three-and-out to start the game, Ohio State punted. Then, on Michigan State’s first play of the game, it fumbled. Ohio State wasn’t able to do anything with it, however, going nowhere before missing a field goal. But no worries! Michigan State fumbled again a few plays later. This time, Ohio State went nowhere but made the field goal. And that’s how a team with 16 yards of offense in the first quarter has a 3-0 lead.
