COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s five-star 2021 commit Jack Sawyer of Pickerington North (Ohio) High School helped his team to a 21-16 win over Reynoldsburg during homecoming week on Friday. Sawyer is rated as the No. 2 overall recruit and strongside defensive end in the 2021 class, but it wasn’t on the defensive side that he was filling the boxscore. He also serves as the team’s quarterback. He ended the night with 50 yards and a touchdown while completing 9 of his 15 passing attempts. He also added another 67 yards on 13 rushing attempts. Sawyer came into Friday night with 13 sacks this season and failed to register one against Raiders, but did just late enough in the fourth quarter to rush the quarterback, causing a sack and a pick-six to seal the win.
