COLUMBUS, Ohio – Through Ohio State’s first five football games, sophomore quarterback Justin Fields rarely looked uncomfortable, let alone panicked. Only three plays into Saturday’s game against Michigan State, Fields was running haphazardly toward his team’s own end zone. Fields took a third-down sack for an 18-yard loss inside his own 10. That came one play after Fields was flushed from the pocket and sailed a pass over the head of wide-open tight end Luke Farrell. Fields — and really the whole offense — looked so rattled on that opening drive that the Buckeyes did not put the ball in the air again on their next possession.
