CLEVELAND, Ohio — Worth noting as you track each team’s chances to make the 2019 college football playoffs: history says undefeated teams are a lock, and major conference champions with just one loss are almost a sure thing. The problem for Ohio State is there is an exception to most every rule. The Buckeyes were the exception a year ago when they became the only outright Power 5 league champion with one loss ever left out of the playoffs.
