Can Ohio State football’s Master Teague also be a weapon in the passing game?


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State football sophomore Master Teague III made a bruising first impression this season for his willingness to run over defenders. In the past two weeks, the Buckeyes’ backup running back has added another dimension to his game. He caught his first reception against Miami of Ohio, going for 17 yards, then added a 28-yard reception against Nebraska. The latter, which came on a swing pass as part of a three-play, all-Teague, 55-yard touchdown drive, showed how the 5-11, 220-pound Tennessee native continues to develop into an all-around back. Ohio State coach Ryan Day primarily discusses Teague in terms of his “downhill” running style and physical approach.
