COLUMBUS, Ohio — Branden Bowen’s moment of triumph — the one for which he had bled and sacrificed and waited so long — deserved some sort of fanfare or celebration. Instead, Ohio State’s fifth-year senior offensive lineman was simply waiting in the massage area at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center when he heard the news. Ryan Day, meeting with reporters at that moment, had announced Bowen as the starting right tackle for Saturday’s season opener against Florida Atlantic. “It was hard not to break down and cry, because it’s been a long road,” Bowen said. “It’s definitely been very, very difficult — something I never even thought about dealing with prior. “But it’s good.
