COLUMBUS, Ohio – The last time Justin Fields played a real football game, he was a Georgia freshman facing off against Alabama in the Southeastern Conference championship game last Dec. 1. On Saturday, Fields will wear a different uniform and play for very different stakes as his new team, No. 5 Ohio State, opens the season against Florida Atlantic. Fields threw one incomplete pass and carried three times for 6 yards in that 35-28 loss to Alabama. He was a backup for the Bulldogs, playing at least a little bit in 13 games and at times flashing the potential that made him the nation’s No. 2 recruit coming out of high school.
