Ryan Day is ready for the start of Ohio State’s 2019 season. The first-year Buckeye head coach showed up to work on Monday cleanly shaven, a look not seen on him since early August. “That was a camp beard,” Day said on Tuesday. “That was only supposed to go about a week. And then late nights and early mornings, it just turned into a two-to-three week beard. And as we get into the game week, it’s time to shave and get cleaned up.” Now that Day looks the part, it’s time to get to work. On Saturday, Day will lead the Scarlet and Gray out onto the Ohio Stadium field for the first time as the team’s permanent head coach.
