COLUMBUS, Ohio — It’s been known for months now that J.K. Dobbins is the lead back for Ohio State this season. The plan is for him to see the majority of the carries this season than he did in the past two seasons now that he won’t be splitting time with Mike Weber. Finding a starting running back hasn’t been on the Buckeyes’ to-do list this offseason. They’ve instead spent that time trying to find the guy who’ll give him a break every-so-often.
