Former Ohio State linebacker Josh Perry joins the Big Ten Network: Buckeye Breakfast


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Big Ten Network has hired former Ohio State linebacker Josh Perry as a studio analyst for the 2019 season. There has been no announcement of which shows he will appear on, but he is the third former Buckeye to be hired by the BTN, joining James Laurinaitis and Stanley Jackson. Other Ohio State alumni working in the media include Cris Carter, Robert Smith and Chris Spielman on Fox; Kirk Herbstreit, Joey Galloway and Bobby Carpenter on ESPN. Former head coach Urban Meyer will be an analyst for Fox this season. Perry saw action in 17 games, including one start, playing for the San Diego Chargers and Indianapolis Colts. In two seasons he recorded 13 total tackles and one forced fumble. He was forced to retire from the NFL in 2018 after sustaining his sixth concussion.
