COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State announced Urban Meyer’s three-game suspension on Aug. 22, 2018, just 21 days after the Buckeyes football coach had been placed on administrative leave. Ohio State released the final emails and text messages involving Meyer and Zach Smith on Friday … 366 days after Meyer had been put on the sidelines. Now, that extra 345 days included a lot of blacking out information. Claiming a host of reasons under the law, Ohio State redacted names and full conversations and did what many institutions do when responding to open records requests from journalists.
