Former Ohio State quarterback Matthew Baldwin denied immediate eligibility at TCU: Report


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State quarterback Matthew Baldwin, who transferred to TCU following the spring of 2019, was denied immediate eligibility by the NCAA on Thursday according to Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Baldwin, a native of Austin, Texas, redshirted as a freshman due to an ACL injury he suffered in his senior season of high school and participated in spring workouts. But after the spring, he put his name in the transfer portal and eventually transferred to TCU. He was the second quarterback to transfer from Ohio State following Justin Fields’ arrival in January. Shortly after Fields came to Columbus, Tate Martell transferred to Miami, and he was ruled immediately eligible to play this season.
